Experience
With Eckler since 2013, Shannon is an actuary and Principal in Eckler’s Winnipeg office. She currently leads the national Pension Administration practice, coaching and mentoring the team through many new and exciting initiatives. Having also worked at a major benefits consulting firm, Shannon has 16 years of industry experience.
A pension consultant, Shannon has extensive expertise in pension plan evaluation, plan design, plan funding and cost accounting, pension plan administration across all jurisdictions in Canada, preparation of plan documents and plan amendments, and pension plan governance. Shannon works alongside the Eckler team of benefit professionals to deliver holistic plan solutions for a wide range of clients.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Winnipeg majoring in Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba with a major in Actuarial Mathematics. Shannon received her Fellowship with the Society of Actuaries in 2012 and with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 2013.
