Experience

A consulting actuary and Eckler Principal, Anthony has over 30 years of experience in the design, funding and administration of pension and employee benefit plans, along with the accounting and financial reporting for pension, post-retirement and post-employment benefit plans. Anthony has worked with a wide range of clients in the private and broader public sectors, as well as multi-employer pension plans, not-for-profit, and union clients. He is active in researching and monitoring regulatory developments in the pension area and serves as Eckler’s internal expert on income tax issues related to pension and retirement savings arrangements.

Anthony qualified as a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 1992. He graduated in mathematics as a gold medallist from the University of Waterloo and joined Eckler in 1989 after gaining experience with a major life insurance company.

Anthony has served on the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ Committee on Liaison with Government Authorities on Pension and Social Security Matters, the Canada Revenue Agency’s Pension Advisory Committee, and the Society of Actuaries’ Education and Examination Committee.
