Experience

An actuary and Principal in Eckler’s Halifax office, Scott has over 15 years of consulting experience. He joined the firm in 2013.

Scott’s background covers all aspects of the design, funding, and administration of registered pension plans in both the public and private sectors. He has provided advice and services to a broad range of plan sponsors, including private and publicly-traded companies, not-for-profits, governments and multiple employer jointly trusteed arrangements. Scott also has significant experience in assisting plan sponsors with financial reporting regarding their pension and non-pension post-retirement/post-employment benefit programs under various accounting standards.

A graduate from Acadia University (Bachelor of Science degree in physics and mathematics), Scott is also a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

He currently serves on the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ Post-Employment Benefits Committee.
