Experience
A Principal in the Group Benefits practice, Mike joined Eckler in 2011. He has more than 40 years of experience in the employee benefits field and has worked with a large cross-section of clients and insurance companies in all aspects of their employee benefit programs.
Mike specializes in new business development and customer retention as well as insurance company and supplier relationships. He has worked with a variety of clients ranging from large, multi-national organizations to national, provincial, and local union groups and associations.
Before joining Eckler, Mike held senior executive roles with two Canadian insurers and most recently was Vice President for an Ontario based consulting firm. He was a member of the CEBS advisory board, as well as the CLHIA Marketing Committee and the 2001 United Way Council of Peel. He has been a featured speaker at several industry events focusing on topics ranging as far as International Pooling and “How to Value your Benefit plan.” Mike attended York University and is a graduate of the Queen’s University Executive Program.
