Experience

Laura is a Principal in the Pensions and Group Benefits practices in Eckler’s Toronto office.  She has over 15 years of consulting experience and joined Eckler in 2016 after working in the UK for the first part of her career.  She has advised a variety of clients including broader public sector organizations, not-for-profit organizations and private sector corporations.  Her expertise includes pension and post-employment benefit plan valuations, plan design and administration, pension legislation and accounting for both pension plans and group benefit plans.

A co-author of the report ‘Affordable Lifetime Pension Income for a Better Tomorrow’, published in 2021 by the National Institute on Ageing and the Global Risk Institute, Laura continues to research and promote the development of Dynamic Pensions (a.k.a. VPLAs) in Canada.

Laura is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.
