Kerry Abehsera

A senior consulting actuary and principal in Eckler’s Toronto office, Kerry has over 25 years of experience in the pension consulting industry and currently leads our Pension Risk Transfer and Wind-up Team, the group responsible for advising Eckler’s consultants and clients across the country on pension risk transfer and wind-up strategies. Prior to working at Eckler, she worked for another major benefits consulting firm. Her expertise includes pension plan administration, pension plan funding, plan design, pension legislation, plan wind-ups, plan mergers and conversions and pension plan financial reporting.

Kerry is an expert in the corporate employer pension field for clients sponsoring defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans. She excels at managing client relationships and time-sensitive deliverables and consults regularly to a variety of clients, including national and global corporations, not-for-profit organizations and associations.

Committed to fostering Eckler’s award winning culture and supporting career progression, she is actively involved in a professional development committee that advances career opportunities and also oversees the allocation of project opportunities for actuarial staff across Canadian offices.

Kerry graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science. She is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
