Experience
With Eckler’s investment practice since 2022, Irene brings more than 15 years of experience in investment consulting and research for defined contribution (DC) and defined benefit (DB) pension plans. She is a Director within the Defined Contribution Investment and Financial Wellness consulting groups, advising organisations of all sizes across a wide range of industries. Her work spans governance, performance monitoring, record keeper selection, plan design and investment research for defined contribution and capital accumulation plans.
Irene’s work is grounded in a strong interest in how individuals make financial decisions, both within and beyond retirement programmes. This perspective shapes her approach to financial wellness across the full journey, from saving and budgeting through to retirement and post-retirement. By supporting practical tools and approaches, Irene helps improve decision-making and build financial confidence for plan members. Experience across both accumulation and decumulation allows her to bring an integrated view of investment, retirement and financial wellness solutions.
In addition, Irene leads Eckler’s Target Date Fund research and contributes to decumulation research and due diligence, supporting solutions across the full retirement lifecycle. She also plays a key role in delivering Eckler’s Guided Outcomes Financial Planning platform, providing training and support to both plan sponsors and plan members.
