Pension Administrator (Bilingual and Unilingual) - Location Optional (Winnipeg, Toronto or Halifax)
We are growing! We are looking for 2 talented and hardworking people to join our dedicated team of Pension Administrators. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, will have a fine eye for detail and will thrive on providing superior customer service in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Don’t have experience in Pension Administration? No problem! This role is suitable for anyone with an aptitude for numbers or a background in banking, accounting or payroll. As a Pension Administrator, you will work with a Senior Administrator to learn the ins-and-outs of pension plans.
Job responsibilities:
- Calculate various pension plan entitlements and communicate same to pension plan members
- Maintain and update pension plan databases with member information
- Provide support to client employers and pension plan members
- May include answering calls on a daily schedule
- Review and reconcile client pension plan fund changes
- Learn pension laws, plan provisions and administration policies applicable for assigned clients
- Submit routine reconciliation and filings with the regulatory pension bodies and Canada Revenue Agency
- Research to stay current with relevant laws and rules concerning pensions across Canada
- Adhere to a high standard of customer service to provide clients with exceptional and timely service
- Problem solve as unique administration issues arise
- Manage the delivery of administration services to your clients

What you offer:
- A superior aptitude or focus in handling numerical data
- Process and detail-oriented with a keenness to accuracy on data entry and calculations
- Fluency in French and English for the bilingual opportunity or English only for the unilingual opportunity
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, including use of various Excel functions and Word merge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to take ownership of assigned clients, setting and meeting required deadlines
- A degree or diploma in Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Payroll or related field

- Working knowledge of pension legislation
- Willingness to spearhead and drive team initiatives
- RPA/CEBS or PPAC designation
- Experience using databases or courses in data management
- Experience with streamlining or automating processes
- Familiarity with actuarial concepts
