Bilingual People & Culture (HR) Business Partner

At Eckler, we know it’s our people who make us great at what we do. The People & Culture Business Partner is a senior generalist providing HR consultation to leaders. The HRBP works with Eckler’s Profit Centres to develop and implement initiatives and programs in support of the People and Culture strategy and specific business needs


  • Proactively build relationships with business leaders and employees, developing trust and credibility with key stakeholders
  • Work with People Managers to deliver core People & Culture services: recruiting, performance management, training, total rewards and talent management strategies
  • Partner with Profit Centres, People & Culture Committee and Corporate Services colleagues to deliver on Eckler’s DEI strategy and commitments
  • Work with Director, People & Culture, Managing Principal and other leaders on culture award submissions and other projects
  • Partner with Profit centres to design and implement new HR policies, processes and initiatives
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire, recurrent and ad-hoc training
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal and compliance requirements related to day-to-day management of employees
  • Provide leadership to, back-up and cross-training for HR Generalist


  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Business Partner role
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and provincial legislation
  • Exceptional ability to manage internal client relationships and build trust
  • Creative problem solver with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Proven success in developing process efficiencies and leveraging technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and HR diploma or designation
